Public tender for the concession of the Luvo e Soyo Logistics Platform
Luanda, November 17, 2021 – The Government of Angola launched, on Wednesday, 17, in Zaire province, the international tender for the Design, Construction, Operation and Commercial Management of the Logistics Platforms in Zaire and Luvo, in an act presided over by Minister of Transport, Ricardo Viegas D’Abreu, and witnessed by the Governor of the province of Zaire, Pedro Maquita Júlia
With these concessions, it is intended to promote development and private investment in the country’s logistics sector, contribute to the diversification of the Angolan economy, namely in the agribusiness and industry sectors, increase the efficiency and diversification of services
The concessions, under the responsibility of the Angola Cargo Regulation and Logistics Agency (ARCCLA) also aim to raise financial resources for the development of the National Network of Logistics Platforms-RNPL, introduce highly professional business management methods in the logistics sector, reduce costs and encourage the competition and induce the competitiveness of the services provided
The logistics sector plays a fundamental role in improving the country’s macroeconomic environment, by fostering job creation, increasing the national product and attracting foreign investment. Currently, the logistical infrastructures in Angola face several challenges, as they are at an early stage of development, with the transport of goods highly dependent on road transport.
The application submission deadline is January 6, 2022.
