Catamarans on the Luanda-Soyo-Cabinda route
Catamarans (maritime passenger transport) will stop crossing the Coast of Luanda, transporting passengers from the South (‘Museu da Escravatura’ – Capossoca) to the Port of Luanda (center of the Capital).
The announcement was made by the acting PCA of Sécil Marítima, João Martins, heard by Rádio Nacional de Angola.
Scheduled for next year, the opening of the Luanda-Soyo-Cabinda-Luanda route is subject to the end of work on the Soyo and Cabinda terminals, respectively.
“These are projects that are underway, and which had stops due to the country’s financial situation. The Cabinda terminal has already resumed services, and it is likely that it will end within 9 months. The Soyo terminal has advanced construction services, but everything indicates that we can only move forward next year “, cautioned João Martins.
In addition, he advocates the need for maintenance on catamarans in order to start regional operations.
