42nd ANNIVERSARY: MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL DIRECTOR

CNC growing over four decades.

2020 is a remarkable year for the National Shipper’s Council of Angola (CNC), as it commemorates the institution’s 42nd anniversary, amid profound changes in its organizational and functional structure.

The 1st of August is celebrated – the date on which Order No. 16/78 that created the CNC was promulgated – in a particular context, marked by the current situation of public calamity – resulting from the pandemic of COVID 19 – that justifies the adoption exceptional measures, extraordinary, necessary and appropriate to the current situation, with a view to safeguarding human life and ensuring the functioning of services, in accordance with the guidelines of the Angolan Executive.

However, in this special month for the entire CNC family, we cannot fail to reaffirm the commitment of this important institution to pursue the goals defined by the Executive, here in particular by the Ministry of Transport, and to value, train and qualify its staff, to create better social and working conditions for staff, in compliance with the best practices in terms of management of public resources, transparency and thus better contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of our populations.

We highlight here the results, which are already satisfactory, of the execution of the Strategic Repositioning Plan of the CNC and of Strengthening of its Institutional Capacity, ensuring a transversal action with regard to REGULATION, SUPERVISION AND INSPECTION OF NATIONAL LOGISTIC ACTIVITIES.

The Board of Directors of the CNC praises the dedication and commitment of the collective of workers and encourages everyone to maintain the spirit of rigor, professionalism and fulfillment of the mission for which the CNC was created.
